01. individual therapy
Therapy is a collaborative experience. Together, we’ll identify your goals and create a safe, supportive path to healing. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is crucial for exploring and working through challenging experiences, and my approach is designed to foster this process.
We’ll focus on getting you unstuck and equipping you with practical tools for navigating various situations. As you heal, you’ll notice positive changes in your work, family life, relationships, and your connection with yourself. I’m excited to be a part of your journey toward wellness.
Trauma
Sometimes, past experiences can continue to affect us, even when we know we’re safe in the present. These experiences can lead to physical and emotional symptoms that may feel overwhelming. I’m here to help you understand and manage these symptoms so they have less impact on your daily life. Together, we’ll use grounding techniques and mindfulness to work on stabilizing your feelings. I also incorporate body-based methods into our sessions, and if it seems helpful for you, I offer EMDR therapy to process traumatic memories. EMDR is a well-researched technique that uses tapping or eye movements to help integrate and reduce the impact of difficult memories, allowing you to move forward with greater ease.
Substance Use
Substance use and abuse affect many of us, whether it's through our own experiences or those of someone we care about.
If you're dealing with substance use, we'll work together to explore the underlying factors and concerns, and develop practical tools for harm reduction and relapse prevention. While no one can make the decision to change for you, we can collaborate to define your goals and the lifestyle you aspire to. By identifying patterns like codependent behaviors and intrusive thoughts, we'll empower you to take control of your healing journey.
If you’re feeling the impact of someone else’s substance use, you know the pain of watching a loved one struggle. In our sessions, I aim to offer a supportive and understanding space to help you navigate these challenges and find a path forward.
Anxiety
It's completely normal to experience feelings of anxiety and worry, but I understand that they can sometimes be overwhelming. In our work together, we’ll focus on both managing anxiety in the moment and uncovering the underlying factors contributing to it. By identifying and addressing these root issues, we can work towards reducing your anxiety and helping you feel more at ease.
Depression
Depression can be incredibly isolating, whether it’s a constant presence or comes and goes. It’s important to know you’re not alone in this. In our sessions, we’ll work together to understand the underlying factors contributing to your feelings and find ways to lighten the burden of depression. With support and a collaborative approach, we can work towards easing the weight you’re carrying.
02. supervision for current therapists
My goal is to help you find and develop your unique clinical voice. In our supervision sessions, we’ll focus on your professional goals and your work with clients. We’ll also continuously explore transference and countertransference, as they are key to your growth. I’ll use psychodynamic, body-based, and mindfulness approaches to support and guide you along the way.
